Elizabeth Moore, late of the Borough of Lebanon, by her will written 13 Feb 1845 and proved 25 April 1845, gave $1000 each to William Graff Moore and Elizabeth Hester Moore, the minor children of her niece Mary Ann Moore and her husband Dr. William Moore, with Dr. Moore as guardian and co-executor. Her will also left the residual of the estate, now $76.44, to nephew William G. Stoy. In the event of the death of one of the minor children, then their amount was to go, as part of the residual, to nephew William G. Stoy.
On 28 July 1846 William G. Stoy of the County of Philadelphia, in consideration of $212 paid, assigned to Dr. William Moore of the Borough of Womelsdorf any interest he might have in the minor childrens' portions in the event of their deaths, and in the residual.

To his cousins, he was 'Billy'.
William Moore Guilford was in a position to have access to the papers of William Moore of Lebanon and to have personal knowledge, as William Moore was William Moore Guilford's great-uncle, and his mother Catherine Elizabeth Doll was raised by William Moore of Lebanon, and they all lived in the same town.2,8,9 - Note: Obit published in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Sunday 11 Dec 1938, page 23.
