Names sons Jost, Matheris and John, and daughter Catharina. Does not name his wife, living.
Dwelling place where I now live to son Jost with half part of land, and lower half part to son Matheris, equally divided.
My part land upon Tulpehocken Creek or Mill-place so called to my son John.
To my daughter Catharina sum of £300 Pennsylvania money.
Unto my wife the third part of the remainder of my estate. She shall cause my children to be well instructed and the sons to be well learned in English reading and writing.
My son Yost to be taught the trade of a smith.
Because I have at present no deed for my dwelling place I give power to my executors to take out the deed for the said land to me or to my son or sons.
Provisions for are of children, and for widow after remarriage.

First administrators' account, for years 1757 - 4 Nov 1771.
Includes rent and expenses for mill by year.
Includes expenses to surveyor general, receiver general & secretary of patent [presumably for land patent].

John Hiester's 1757 probate file contains two documents related to his sons John Hiester and Mathias Hiester. These are nearly identical administrators' bonds, dated 11 Feb 1773.
Bound is Christian Ruth of Cumru Township Berks county yeoman who is intermarried with Maria Barbara widow of John Hiester late of Bern Twp. deceased and mother of John Hiester [and Mathias Hiester] sonJohn Hiester of said John Hiester deceased who died under age intestate unmarried and without issue, and [bondsmen] Sebastian Ruth, Jost Hiester, and Jacob Epler all of Bern Township.
The probate file contains no more about these sons' estates; and there are not separate files for them.5
