  • Note*: In the 1860 census Charles appears in his father's household in Wallace, Chester county, as Charles Moore, age 11, so born about 1849.

    In the 1870 census he appears in his widowed mother's household in Wallace, as Charles Moore, age 18, so born about 1852.

    His father's 1865 probate lists William Clark, guardian of Charles Moore.

    Charles is named in his mother's 1877 will as Charles G Moore.

    In his aunt's 1878 will he is named as Charles A. Moore.4,5,1,6
  • Note: On 7 Oct 1893 Chas A Moore submitted two petitions to the Berks County Orphans Court, requesting that the Reading Trust Company be appointed the guardian of the estates of two of his children. They were: Charles C. Moore, born 3 June 1880, child of Chas A Moore and his wife Jennie Moore, deceased; the child residing at 4425 6th St. Reading. And Emily H. Moore, born 10 June 1882, child of Chas A. Moore and Jennie his wife, deceased; the child residing at 6025 5th at Reading. The petition was approved.7
