- Note*: Residences: Per Woodbury Meeting certificates of removal, Joseph lived in Chester from 1823 to 1825, and in 1827. After their marriage Joseph taught school in Haddonfield. In 1836 they moved to Philadelphia, where he continued to teach. He was in the Philadelphia Friends Asylum in the 1860 Census. Per a Philadelphia Northern District certificate of removal he transferred to Exeter Monthly Meeting in 1863, presumably near his daughter in Pottstown. His death return shows him living at 1226 N. 7th Philadelphia.
