  • Note: Corrected list of children for John Adam and Eva Ann (Hain) Ruth:

    Jack Akerboom and Anna Ruth Salzman, researchers of the Ruth family, list the children as: Mary Magdalena, Catharine Ruth, Susanna, John Adam Ruth and an unnamed daughter (p. 527). These are the same as the children as listed in the 1824 will of John Adam Hain, son of John Christian and Maria Barbara (Epler) (Hiester) Ruth.

    The Hain Family book incorrectly lists the children as: Margareth, Maria Barbara, Michael, Christiana, and John Ruth (p. 51). Ackerman and Salzman state that these are the children of a different John Adam Ruth (p. 11), who died 20 Oct 1821, son or Johann Michael and Anna Maria (Moser) Ruth, married to Anna Catharine Filsmeyer, and who names these children in his 1821 will. Per Akerman, these were the children living at the time of John Adam Ruth's death. The full list is Catharine, Anna Margaret, Maria Barbara, Michael, John Adam, Christina, and Anna (details pp. 11, 19).5,6,3,7,8
