Notes

  • Note*: Catharina Hill's maiden name is not recovered. See posting on FindAGrave regarding inconclusive research.

Furthermore it is not known whether she was married in Germany before her husband’s immigration in 1741, or afterwards in Pennsylvania.
  • Note: The 1767 will of Jacob Hill makes a bequest for his wife, but does not name her. The bequest was for "my house furniture and one cow and the interest of five hundred pounds".3
  • Note: Administration Bond Estate of Catharine Hill deceased, dated 10 May 1790
"John Kirlin of Amity Township Berks Co. son-in-law of Catharina Hill late of Berks County, widow deceased..."

John Kerlin is named as husband of Elizabeth daughter of Jacob Hill in a petition in the estate of Jacob Hill.3
