    Written 3 Sept 1856, proved 17 April 1857.

    The will names wife Rebecca and three children Mary Elizabeth Leisse, Margaret Anna Leisse and John Calvin Leisse. Also named are grandfather Jacob Shitz, father John Leisse, brother Augustus Leiss, sister Rebecca, niece Ermma Scharff, and nephew John L Sharff (or Sharpp).
    Also named are friend and servant Phillip Smith and Esther Smith his wife; also Arnelia Frutman wife of Israel Frutman. (or Troutman)

    Real estate consists of 1) several tracts of land situated in Jackson Twp. Lebanon Co. containing 234 acres, 2) plantation on which he then resides in Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co. containing 176 acres, 3) a tract of land in Wayne Twp. Schuylkill Co., Penn. containing 36 acres, 4) a house and small tract of land containing about 3 acres in Tulpehocken Twp., Berks county.
    Personal estate includes in part 39 shares of stock in The Farmers Bank Reading, ten shares of stock in The Lebanon Valley Rail Road Company, three shares of stock in The Berks and Dauphin Turnpike Company, a debt due to him from The Leisse Bridge Company of $100 with interest.

    Will bequests stocks and some cash to wife Rebecca and provides a house, animals and supplies during her widowhood. Children Mary Elizabeth and John Calvin are to receive land, and are to make payments to their sister Margaret Anna. In the case that either Mary Elizabeth and John Calvin do not reach age 21 and are without heirs, their share was to go to Margaret Anna. [John died at 18.]
