• Note*: On 9 July 1878 four of the children of Samuel Moore acknowledged receipt of $1,036.68 each from the executors of his estate, Samuel Moore and James T. Moore. They were:
  John Moore,
  Mary A. Searle late Mary A. Moore & Thomas S. Searle her husband,
  Catharine M. Taylor (late Catharine Moore) and B. Franklin Taylor her husband,
  Rachel J Brown late Rachel J Moore and George L. Brown her husband.
  Recorded in Berks Co. Pa. Records, Miscellaneous Book 23, page 69.¹
• Note: Ann Gray in her 1841 will made the following bequest, among many others:
  "to Samuel Moore of Stauchsburg one hundred dollars".
  
  Frances Moore in her 1848 will made the following bequest, among many others:
  "to the children of my cousin Samuel Moore late of Stouchsburg the sum of
  200 dollars..to my cousin Fanny Hartzler the sum of 100 dollars
  exclusive of her part of the former bequest"
  
  The 'Legacies Paid' portion of her estate papers includes the following:
  "To children of Samuel Moore late of Stouchsburg cousin of testatrix as follows:

  "Taylor - At Pottstown, on the 13th inst., Catharine Moore, widow of B. F. Taylor, aged 85 years.
  Funeral at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. L. C. Keim, 602 High street, Pottstown, Pa., on Monday, Sept. 17, at 11 o'clock a. m."⁴
