  • Note*: The 1841 will of Ann Gray states:
    "To my Nephew George Love one hundred dollars.
    To grand niece Nancy daughter one hundred dollars."

    The 1841 will of William Moore states:
    "Item: I give and bequeath unto Christopher Love of Sharpsburg near Pittsburg in cash one thousand dollars.
    Item: I give and bequeath unto George Love of Sharpsburg, near Pittsburg, or perhaps in Ohio, in cash one thousand dollars."5,1
  • Note: On 27 Oct 1846 George Love of the Borough of Sharpsburg granted to Agnes Reed, in consideration of $600, a piece of ground in Sharpsburg, on Freeport Road 200' to a forty foot Street 35' 200' 55', being part of tract of Land No. 12 in Cunningham's District. Love, the Presbyterian Church of Sharpsburg, the Presbyterian Church of Pine Creek, the Pennsylvania Bible Society, my young friend John Campbell Jr. and his brother William Alexr. Campbell, my cousins George Henderson and his sisters Nancy and Jane, my friend Revd. John W. Murray pastor of the Presbyterian Church, my friend John Campbell Senr. Pays for gravestones himself, to be similar to his brother's, and for his father and mother. Executors my friend John Campbell Senr. and Revd. John W. Murray.

  • Note: Six burials had been relocated on 22 Mar 1881 from the Sharpsburg Presbyterian Church graveyard to the Sharpsburg Greenwood Cemetery, to a plot owned by James Jordan (Section 3, Range 6, Lot 11). Included were the remains of George Love, died 17 May 1847, Catherine Love, died 4 April 1847, Christopher Love, died 12 May 1846, and an unnamed Love.3
