- Note*: By indenture dated -- April 1747[?] John Biles of Maidenhead, Hunterdon Co., New Jersey, yeoman, and Elizabeth his wife and Charles Biles of the same place, tailor, in consideration of £600[?] proclamation money, granted to David Bearsley of the same place, yeoman, a tract of 200 acres in Maidenhead, it being part 300 acres conveyed in 169- by John ---- to Samuel Darke, then conveyed to Joseph English who conveyed the 200 acres to Charles Biles who died intestate whereby the land descended to his eldest son John Biles who by his will of 29 May 1740 gave the land to his sons John Biles and Charles Biles, parties to this indenture.
