  • Note: "The births of ten children of Jedediah, at 'Sandweth,' are noted in East Jersey records, and five of them are entered in the Sandwich Quaker register, although there the dates of the two oldest are a year later than stated in the former volume. The three fully legible birth items in the old family Bible agree with the New Jersey records. The births of the three born after the removal of the family from Sandwich appear in Shrewsbury records. (EJD A:305; Sandwich M. M. Rec., 60:3; SHGM I:265; NEHGR 25:146)."1
  • Note: "His will, Sept. 15, 1711 -- Feb. 6, 1711/2, names his wife Elizabeth and twelve children, the wife to be executrix. It also names two grandchildren and Mary, daughter of John Allen of Woodbridge. No mention is made of his deceased daughter Experience or her heirs. The inventory of his personal estate totals £1454:7:5, a very considerable amount for that period. (NJA-Unrec. 11:311; 12:310)."
