  • Note: Evesham Monthly Meeting minutes, p. 300 & 302: On 9th of 2nd mo 1775 George Matlack requested a certificate for marriage to a woman from Salem MM; she is not named. On 9th day 3rd mo 1775 a certificate was produced for Matlack's marriage, but the woman was not named. His father is not named, per email exchange 2 Feb 2008 with special collections staff, Haverford College.
    Meldrum's assertion (Burlington Co. 2:182) that the father's name was Robert Matlack is not supported.
