  • Note*: Regarding her death: This compiler has not found a record of Sarah (Wright) Mickle's death, nor of her having a will, nor any record of she or her husband having remarried. She did not witness the marriages of her children John in 1762, William in 1772, nor James in 1785. Her husband William Mickle's 1774 will provides for his unnamed wife, and refers to her as son William's mother.

    Ruth Crawley Champion states that she died before her father wrote his will in 1736; but that is contradicted by the dates of birth given by three of her sons (p. 17).
