  • Note*: Will of Edward Hunt of Newtown Long Island dated 15 Jan 1715/16, proved 29 Feb 1715/16, names wife Elizabeth and her brothers Thomas and James Hazard, sons Edward and Richard [sic] to receive his lands in Hunterdon County New Jersey on which they are living, sons Thomas and Jonathan to receive his lands in Newtown, son Ralph to receive the testator's brother Ralph's land on Long Island, daughters Sarah Titus, Martha, Elizabeth, Hannah and Abigail, and granddaughter Sarah Reeder.   • Note: Researcher Mitchell J. Hunt, citing Lewis D. Cook, asserts that Edward Hunt had an additional daughter by wife Sarah Betts:
    "Anna who died before 1716 and not mentioned in father's will; probably the Anna Hunt who m. Isaac Reeder 21 May 1711. Reeder later died testate in Trenton Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ in 1763, aged 85 years."5

    1698/9 Mar 18 - Edward Hunt was among the twenty eight buyers of 100 acres in Maidenhead "for a meeting house, burying ground and schoolhouse" (NJA 21:517-8).6
