    "I bequeath to my sons William Moore & John Moore & Charles Moore each Two Hundred Dollars"
    "any Surplus Effects to be divided Equally between my sons, William Moore, John Moore and my three Daughters Frances, Lyddia & Rosanna above mentioned Equally share & share alike."3
  • Note: The 1836 will of Lydia Moore states:

    Item: I give and bequeath unto my nephew James Moore, fifty Shares of Stock in the Schuylkill Bank; fifty-two and one sixth Shares of Stock in the Berks and Dauphine Turnpike, and Forty Shares of Stock in the Susquehanna Canal Company; and also my horse, Sulky and harness, sleigh and harness, my wearing apparel, and two guns, two pistols with the appendages thereto; and also my Library, excepting ten Books herein before given to my wife.
    Item: I give and bequeath unto my niece Caroline Moore Fifty seven shares of Stock in the Lancaster Bank, and Sixty Shares of Stock in the Harrisburg Bank.
    Item: I give and bequeath unto my niece Elizabeth Moore Fifty -Seven Shares of Stock in the Lancaster Bank, and Sixty Shares of Stock in the Harrisburg Bank."5
  • Note: Frances Moore of Womelsdorf in her 1858 will made the following bequests among others:
    "to my brother John's son James Moore 5 hundred dollars, to his sisters Elizabeth and Caroline Moore the sum of one hundred dollars each"

    The 'Legacies Paid" portion of her estate states:
    "To James Moore, son of John, brother of testatrix...
    To Elisabeth Moore, daughter of John, brother of testatrix...

Referring to William Moore of Lebanon (d. 1841), the paragraph starts "in his family bible are found records of other members of his family who emigrated to America", and goes on to list seventeen people with death dates.
