  • Note*: Probae: George W. Moore, resident of Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, died intestate on or about 21 January 1887, survived by four adult children, Lydia W., wife of Henry B. Wartman, John, Samuel, and William. John unsuccessfully contested the granting of letters of administration to Lydia's husband Henry B. Wartman (alternate spelling Whartman). George W. Moore was incapacitated and lived with the Wartman household from March 17 1884. Moore's personal estate was insufficient to pay his debts. His dwelling house situate on east side of South Fourth Street between Pine and Bingaman Street was sold. The distribution to the four heirs was $131.16 each.5
