    In the 1860 census he is with them in Wallace, Chester county, age 13, so born about 1847.

    In his father's 1865 probate he is named as Wm Moore.

    In his mother's 1877 will he is named as William Knowles Moore.

  • Note: On Dec 14, 1869 the Chester County Orphans' Court approved his guardian's account, dated Nov. 6 1869.
    This was probably the final account, suggesting that William Knowles Moore had recently turned twenty one.
    Incidentally the account includes tuition payments to L.N. Hastings, and the last payments were to a Wm. K. Brown.7
