  • Note*: In the 1850 census James appears in his father's household in West Nantmeal, Chester, as James Moore, age 14, so born about 1836.

    In the 1860 census he is not named with them in Wallace, Chester county.

    In his father's 1865 probate he is named as James W. Moore, but the payment due him was 'retained'.

    James is not named in his mother's 1877 will.

    In his aunt's 1878 will he is named as James W. Moore.2,3,1,4
