  • Note*: On 31 July 1753 Michael Wolfart of Tulpehocken Township, formerly of Lancaster county, now in the county of Berks yeoman, in consideration of £38.6.8, and Jacob Read of the county of Berks yeoman and Anna Margaret his wife, also in consideration of £38.6.8, released and quit claimed unto George Wolfort their interest in the 162 acre tract in Tulpehocken Township left by their father John Wolfart. At Orphans Court 13 Aug 1752 the six children heirs of John Wolfart had agreed to a valuation of the land, and to grant the land to the eldest brother George Wolfart, he paying each their share of the valuation. The valuation was for £230, and George agreed to take only one share, making each share £38.6.8. Michael Wolfart, then a minor, was now of full age.

    On 10 Dec 1753 George Wolfart of Cocolico Twp. Lancaster Co. yeoman eldest son and heir of John Wolfart late of Tulpehocaon Twp formerly of Lancaster Co. now in Berks Co. deceased and Elisabeth his wife granted to Jacob Hoffman of Tulpehocaon Twp., in consideration of £256 money of Pennsylvania, the 162 acre tract in Tulpehocaon Twp. formerly owned by John Wolfart.

    (Note that on 20 Jan 1761 Jacob Hoffman and Eve his wife granted to Godfried Rohrer in consideration of £400 the 162 acre tract in Tulpehocken Twp. formerly owned by George Wolfhart. Vol. A2, p. 219.)

    On 11 Apr 1754 Maria Agetha Wolfart widow and relict of John Wolfart deceased, in consideration of five shillings, paid by Jacob Hoffman, released and quit claimed unto Jacob Hoffman all right and title of dower which she might have to the land of land mentioned [in the 10 Dec 1753 deed George Wolfart to Jacob Hoffman]. signed Maria Aga Wolfarsch.
