"Miss Sarah Bailey died at 9 o'clock last night, at her home at the old Bailey homestead, at Pine Iron Works, Berks county. This most estimable woman was in the 83d year of her age. She was in the enjoyment of good health up to within a few weeks of her departure from earthly scenes. The cause of death was an affection of the heart. She had lived at Pine for sixty-two years...Her surviving brothers are William L. Bailey of West Chester, and George Bailey, of Boston...member of Society of Friends, and was attached to the Exeter Meeting, where the interment will be made."3
