  • Note: Unrecorded New Jersey will of Martin Scott of Evesham in county of Burlington, yeoman, dated 19 of 4th mo [June] 1702, proved 3 November 1702. Names brother John Scott, sister Elizabeth Scott, brothers-in-law Thomas Lambert & Edward Lucas, cousin John Lambert, friend Richard B--kham?. Executors John Scott, Thomas Lambert & John Lambert. Witnesses John Lambert?, Joshua Wright, Alce Bingham. Inventory 2 Oct 1702, total £862 including plantation £600. FHL microfilm 545495, pp. 23-28. Abstracted by compiler.2
  • Note: 1705 March 29. Deed. Thomas Lambert of Nottingham West Jersey yeoman & Margaret his wife, and Edmund Lucas of county of Bucks Pennsylvania yeoman & Bridget his wife, and Robert Lucas of county of Burlington & Elizabeth his wife grant to John Lambert of Nottingham Burlington county 853 acres in consideration of £600 paid to him as £200 by each couple. The 853 acres was in three tracts. John Wells had purchased 146 1/2 acres in the 2nd tenth in Burlington county from Elias Farro (B:119); and 240 acres in Evesham township Burlington county from Thomas Kend-- (2 February 1694, book B:431), and 467 acres from his father Daniel Wells (20 March 1697, B:142). Martin Scott died without issue and by common law the land descended to his three sisters Margaret wife to Thomas Lambert, Bridget wife to Edward Lucas and Elizabeth wife to Robert Lucas.
