  • Note: In his book "Genealogy of the Shoemaker Family of Cheltenham, Pennsylvania", Benjamin H. Shoemaker states that George Shoemaker "married (2), about 1711, Christiana Brown."
    The compiler of this database has been unable to find any Friends records of this marriage, or any citation of any early record providing her surname.
    Furthermore, her parents are identified in various internet pages. But this compiler has found none with citations to contemporary sources.
