  • Note: "We have the dates of marriage, in Abington Meeting records, of George, Sarah, Isaac, and Susanna; of the four children Barbary, Abraham, Elizabeth, and Benjamin, there is no mention either in the minutes of the meeting or in family wills or deeds. It is therefore inferred that they died unmarried."2
  • Note: In his book Benjamin Shoemaker notes "that the Admiral William Rawle Shoemaker (Chelt. 4312) family records state that the original George Shoemaker married Sarah Kendrick (probably Hendricks) at Heldelberg, in 1662, and that their son, Isaac, married his cousin, Sarah Hendricks...This, however, is an extremely doubtful hypothesis."7
