    "Will of Elizabeth Lukens, of Horsham township, Montgomery county.
    To my dau. Rachel Walton, during her natural life, the interest on £100; after her decease, principal to be divided equally among her children; but should she outlive her husband, principal at his decease to be paid to her.
    To my four granddaus., Elizabeth Griffith, Elizabeth Lukens dau. of Joseph Lukens, and Cathrine and Tacy Lukens, daus. of Abraham Lukens, £20 each.
    Residue to my two daus., Sarah Hallowell and Martha Lukens, equally.
    Execrs.: my two sons Jonathan and David Lukens.

  • Note: A William Swan and an Elizabeth Pennington were issued a marriage license 12 August 1751 by Pennsylvania Governor James Hamilton.
    The compiler has not identified these persons. The marriage date is remarkably close to when William Lukens and Elizabeth Pennington would have married.4
  • Note: Abington Meeting Women's Minutes, 4-24-1780: "Elizabeth Lukens, wife of William Lucans brought a paper to this meeting condemning her paying toward military servises which paper was received."5
