- Note: Samuel H. Needles wrote an article entitled "The Governor's Mill, and the Globe Mills, Pennsylvania" containing a misstatement regarding Benjamin Fairman's wife. The article, first published in Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography, 1884, Vol. 8, 279-299, 377-390, is also available on the internet. He states "Mary Fairman, widow of Benjamin, by deed September 8th 1719 (Deed book F, page 76) conveyed 256 acres to Thomas Masters...". The deed is in book F2, p. 76, viewed on FHL # 21,877, item 2. The deed actually says "Mary Fairman of the Parish of St. Olave Southwark in the county of Surrey in the Kingdom of Great Britain Widow & Relick Executrix Legatee of Robert Fairman late of the sd Parish citizen & Brewer dicd...".
