  • Note: Richard Whittier of Haverhill died intestate. His brother Thomas Whittier made bond as administrator 3 Mar 1724/5. Richard having no heirs, the estate was divided between his brothers and sisters. The division included "Susannah Whittier alias Morrill". Essex Co. Probates, case #29740.5
  • Note: Thomas Whittier of Haverhill, by his will written 20 June 1728, made bequests to many of his brothers' and sisters' children and grandchildren, including: "Ninthly I give and bequeath unto the eldest daughter of each of the children of my sister Morrill deceased to them joyntly one third part of my moveables debts & personal estate after my debts and legacies & funeral costs and expenses are paid & satisfied, to be divided to each of them equally by my executor...also one sixth part of my silver money."
