  • Note*: There is some uncertainty regarding Ruth Green's maiden name. David Hoyt in his book states "Ruth Green appears on the Hv [Haverhill] records. It is not an original entry of marriage, however, and no date is given. The record was made about 1665."

    (This is aside from the disproved suggestion made in the 1880's that she was a Rolfe or related to the Rolfes.)1
  • Note: The probate file of Ruth Whittier of Haverhill, dated 19 Sept 1710, contains only an inventory. The inventory, made 25 Sept 1710 by David Haseltine and Abraham Haseltine, recorded 4 Oct 1710, totals £25.15.6, states she died 18 July 1710. The administrator is not named. Essex Co. Mass. Case #29743.2
