  • Note*: Henry Short sailed from Southampton, England, on the ship 'Mary & John' in 1634, and had settled at Newbury. In his 1672/3 will Henry Short made a conditional bequest of ten pounds apiece to "Robert Long's children & to Nathan Parker Junior". In the Great Migrations article on Henry Short it is noted that Robert Long had married Alice Short in the 1640s and that Nathan Parker had married Susanna Short in 1648, and comments that "these women were the right age to have been sisters of Henry Short."4
