  • Note*: Note that two sons of Solomon Childs married two daughters of Solomon's second wife Sarah (Goodell) Ward, viz. Aaron Childs married Lucy Ward, and Josiah Childs married Abigail Ward.7
  • Note: Solomon Childs of Henniker died intestate. (Indexed as Merrimack Co., New Hampshire, case 407.) On 20 Nov 1827 administration was granted to William K. Talbot; his unnamed widow had declined (Vol. 3, p. 174, image 377). On the third Tuesday of Aug 1828 his widow Sarah Childs was granted an allowance of sixty dollars for her present support and comfort (Vol. 6, p. 156, image 84). The inventory was made by Jacob Rice, Page Eaton and Perley Howe, and filed 31 July 1828; totaling $147.29; consisting primarily of notes due from Solomon Childs Jr., $40, and Josiah Childs, $80; (Vol. 9, p. 35, image 303). The administrator filed the account the second Tuesday November 1828; distribution was to the widow Sarah Childs, and to four children Patty Heaton wife of William Heaton, Solomon Childs, Josiah Childs, and Sally Keaton wife of James Keaton; (Vol. 9, p. 64, image 318).2
